Oakland singer-songwriter Nate Salman describes his debut single, "Be Alright", as "a simple song for days when it feel like we are waiting for the world to end", and his SoundCloud bio tells us he's one of the members of Waterstrider, an excellent band that's made excellent tracks like "Redwood" and "Twice", a Little Dragon cover, too. As one of the members of the group, he's demonstrated his artistic talent, and the chilled instrumentals and emotional vocals of the aforementioned track make for an effort both soothing and compelling. It boasts mesmerizing production that's reminiscent of Tycho and Slow Magic's lush styles, and given that this is only Salman's debut, you'd be wise to keep an eye out for his future releases.
