Naomi Wenitong — Dirty 30s

Naomi Wenitong

Dirty 30s

Hailing from Cairns City, Australia, eclectic, influential, and absolutely alluring artist Naomi Wenitong has something a little different for your ears today with latest track, "Dirty 30s". Now, there's nothing particularly "different" about its infectious, eccentric state, but things start to delve into more niche territories when its subject matter—and embedded sonic styles—are pronounced. You see, Wenitong's material on "Dirty" is geared exactly (and unusually, we should note) to the demographic expressed in the title, and frankly, we can't recall a time when anything like it has ever been done. We've got to think that the particularly aged women tuning into the track will be appreciative of the matter expounded upon, but even if you're a male (and not close to the age), you'll be drawn to the myriad sounds (hip-hop, pop, electronic, and even some reggae-infusions) in the track. According to her amazingly illuminating Facebook biography (you seriously need to read her life' story), Naomi's deciding to take a bit of a different route with her art. Not merely a part of other acts supporting the likes of Destiny's Child, Public Enemy, Usher, and others, she's now focusing on an all-you-can-be attitude she can spread to younger-aged Australians. It's certainly a noble transition for her, we'd say, and aside from being able to catch the targeted demographic's attention with her sound, we're convinced that her aforementioned story itself will provide enough inspiration to positively impact any that come across. To be sure, Naomi's an almost wickedly intimidating creative might and beautifully positive energy about her, and her beginning to showcase it through her conscious choruses and fun rhymes will almost assuredly pave ways to the hearts and minds of those she seeks to touch. We've really no doubt about this at all (just listen to her music and try to disagree), and you can bet we'll life's be keeping up with her endeavors as she ventures onwards in her amazing career.
