There's nothing more disappointing that running through a remix package and coming across efforts that add nothing to the original. Thankfully, our picky & subjective tastes were pleasantly surprised today when we came across this SaBBo remix of "No Gun" by Naomi Pilgrim. With no prior listening history of the Tel Aviv producer, SaBBo, we had no idea what to expect. Turns out we got more than we bargained for, because this remix of "No Gun" is above and beyond anything we could have imagined. SaBBo takes the original and runs it through a barrage of sounds that range from trip-hop, to breakbeat, to funk, jazz & even some electronic, making this rendition hard to classify, sonically speaking. But as far as enjoyability goes, there will be few tracks that reach this level all weekend, so forget the cold, and stay indoors while blasting this.
