When the second song you release racks up nearly a million plays on SoundCloud in less than six months, you know you're doing something right. This is the case with NAO's infectious track, "So Good", which she masterminded with Jai Paul's talented and secretive brother, A. K. Paul. The song spread across the internet faster than a cat meme, but ever since then, both artists have remained totally quiet regarding new music. Finally, though, the London-based songstress is back with a brand-new EP, So Good, but to call it such would certainly be an understatement. It's difficult to follow up a track as phenomenal as "So Good", but Nao does so spectacularly with the first new song on the EP, "Good Girl". The track contains a darker, ingeniously crafted electronic instrumental, and she lets her lovable croon work its magic atop it. Next is "Take Control of You", a quicker-paced piece with a pumping drum kit and some deep synths, and to conclude, we see one of our favorite upcoming duos, Abhi//Dijon, appear on NAO's last track, "Adore You", a smooth, seductive piece with enchanting synths, glimmering electronic, and gorgeous vocals. We weren't sure whether Nao would be able to follow up her breakthrough single, "So Good", with equally great material, but we can say without hesitation that all our worries have been washed away with the release of her new EP here.
