The last time we heard from Mura Masa was with "Love For That", his disarmingly beautiful song with Shura. Now, the 19-year old producer is back with "What If I Go?", a collaboration with producer and vocalist bonzai, and his first official release of 2016. The colorful and zany number premiered by Annie Mac earlier today on BBC Radio 1, and, we think, it's fair to say that it's some of his best work yet. Bonzai's heartwarming lyrics and velvet vocals mesh perfectly with Mura Masa's unique blend of organic and synthetic instruments, and the track also blends steel drums, a harp glissando, and squelching synths into a delicious sonic cocktail that only these two could concoct. While we await his upcoming debut album, "What If I Go?" is going to be a great reminder that Mura Masa is as next-level as producers come, so, if you haven't already, be sure to give him a follow.
