UK producer Mura Masa is one of the more recent producers I've been exposed to through Soulection, and it's relatively easy to see how he had attracted the attention and affection of the burgeoning LA label. With enticing experimental efforts like "Tough On You" in the possession of the 17-year-old, it's almost as inconceivable to consider the present state of the producer as it is scary to think of his future as a pioneer of beautiful sound architecture. His soft, seductive, and lightly bassy tone is refined in some scintillating way despite the aural explorations he weaves into his craft, and his recent "Tough On You" stinks spectacularly of a sonic maturity not known to many creatives his age.
