When two of the UK’s youngest and most promising new artists pair up and team their talents together, the result is almost sure to be without fault. The types of collaborations are ones fans dream of, and this one in particular is as beautiful as they come. Nineteen-year-old producer Mura Masa has enlisted the vocals of 23-year-old pop and R&B star Shura to create "Love For That", a yearning ballad about a relationship that has lost its way, and we're completely smitten with its sound. While incorporating different instruments like lush strings and glittering marimbas, Mura Masa maintains his signature production elements, and Shura, too, brings a delicateness to the track with her silky alto rising above the backing track while proclaiming and repeating again and again sincerity in the track. The blend of their styles becomes a sound that is new to both artists while maintaining what they are known best for, and it'll fast become a favorite of music lovers familiar with them yet or not. "Love For That" is the first track off of Mura Masa's upcoming debut studio album, and Shura is known to be working on her debut album as well, so if anything can be taken from their new track here, it is that these two rising artists are going to have massive projects when they arrive. We can't wait to hear them both. [via THE FADER]
