Metronomic, a producer we had posted about once long ago, has now changed his name to MTRC, and today, he's got us more than enthralled with a month-old piece entitled "Pastel scene". We've hailed the artist's ability to sample in the past, and it's an element that helps this particular effort emerge, too, as pitch-shifted sections are present throughout its course. Metallic textures, laid-back tones, and garage-infused drums are gorgeously melded in together as well, and, as they help govern the piece's sonic flow, a sublime setting is put forth. It's a low-key banger, this "Pastel scene" is.
