The Honolulu, Hawaii-based producer retains a healthy discography of 5 substantial EPs and volumes on his bandcamp page, each filled with the best electronic creations you'll hear contemporarily that most will categorize as Future Bass. But if you are new to mr. carmack (I think it's the right styling), then I must urge you to start with his latest project Bang, Vol. 3, released two days ago. More specifically, and for your tasting purposes, start with the fourth track, "Likelike Highway". Beware, it is one of the cuts that doesn't necessarily concede to the album's title, as it is the hard-hitting, "banging" tracks that constitute about half of the sonic experience that Bang offers. Albeit, this softer, distended synth-laden track is deserving of the album's representation, and that of mr. carmack's in general. Do check out the rest of this album which I will look back on as one of the best of 2013.
