"She Can't Tell", the latest piece from Brooklyn-based electronic wizards MOTHXR, is a gem of a pop song. The song's inventive production and hooky melodic lines contrast nicely with the melancholic lyrics within, making for a song that's understated but highly memorable. Stark guitar riffs, crisp drum machines, and swaths of hazy synths are not unfamiliar sounds in the electronic genre, to be sure, but MOTHXR puts these sounds together in an exceptional way on the track. "She Can't Tell" really is an impressive release for the band, and it bodes very well for what upcoming record they have coming out early in the year. [via The FADER]
