A few months ago, we brought to your attention an exciting two-piece, MORE, that impressed us with their debut effort, “I Need You”. It was an interesting slice of alternative-pop that we thought shared a slight resemblance to the earlier works of Portugal. The Man, and, while you listen to their follow-up release, “Without You”, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was actually new material from the other act, as it is really that good. After declaring just how much they need their significant other in “I Need You”, this latest track acts as a spiritual successor of sorts, exploring just how incomplete they feel. What’s most impressive here is the step up in nearly every aspect of their game. Their dark musical progressions have almost a classic, progressive-rock vibe, and they add a distinct weight to their harmonized lyrical refrains. All together, the track is another impeccably crafted one from the duo, and, with it, they seem to have a very promising future ahead of them indeed.
