Montgomery is the one-woman show behind New Clear War, and similarly to the first bit we’ve heard from her with “War Cry,” we’re quick to share with you a number of tracks that simply are electro-pop at its best. The six-part work’s opener, “Dust”, gives us insight into the artist’s impressive repertoire with its bright synths and accompanying vocals, and you'll simply be tipping your hat at the onset of it and the rest of the project that follows. A particular favorite from the work includes “Not Around” with its undulating synths, classic kicker, and beat lineup that fosters a retro feel, and the additional tracks on top of the two singles we’ve reported on are as talent-packed as you'd expect. There’s a distinctly exquisite aura we pick up from her vocals, for example, and it's one especially poignant on “Satellite Maps”—an effort where soft-touched reverb is all that's needed to complete the track's wholly smooth sound. Overall, it’s safe to say that we’re clapping for Montgomery’s work at this point, as we’re able to find a space for all of her tracks in just about all of our playlists.
