The ever-productive duo Kill Them With Colour certainly has a lot to gloat about coming off an immense 2014, but instead of taking time off, they’re back to their diligent ways, kicking off the new year with a revamp of Monarch’s “Stay”. While the original primarily sees itself in an indie-pop setting, Wesley Marsh and Jason Carr (KTWC) pick out desired elements and sift it through their brand of electronic—one that’s chock-full of forward-thinking sonic components and captivating chord progressions. Initiating the backdrop of the track with approaching, cinematic arpeggios and strumming synths again tell us a lot about the two’s altering sound, and at this point, we're almost convinced that they can refurbish a piece of just about any genre. Carr and Marsh’s production prowess glistens at the minute mark, especially, as their pitch-shifted segments seesaw amongst the highly euphoric setting, and with hat-laced drums in tow, there’s no doubt you’ll be absolutely mesmerized from start to finish.
