Cosmopolitan

In case you haven't been paying attention to music lately, the "Ø" letter is hot right now (XYLØ, BØRNS, and MØ are all artists and acts making use of it) and the newest artist implementing the styled vowel is French act Møme. Jérémy Souillart is the main member of Møme, but Saphira and Axel Brethes also contribute, and though they've actually been releasing music for over a year now, with the release of their new EP, Cosmopolitan, it looks like their blend of electronic is on pace to gain some sizable attention. Because of that, we're bringing to you our favorites from their recent body of work. The project opens with "Cosmopolitan", a heavily layered, brightly shining electronic piece that does an excellent job displaying Møme's admirable talent. We also enjoyed the EP's second track, "Childhood", which we will admit is a little bit Flume-like, but still overall a very enjoyable effort with some soulful vocals from Larry Lynch to boot. If you find that you're a fan of Møme's style on the back of those two efforts, you can check out the remainder of Cosmopolitan on Soundcloud and purchase the EP on iTunes.
