Usually when songs are made for holiday occasions, they're pretty flat, contrived, or just plain average. With MØ's “New Year’s Eve”, however, we've the complete opposite. The track's definitely not an upbeat one; it's more of a somber-sounding and nostalgia-tinged salute to the end of the year. If you're taking a pass on the festivities for the new year, therefore, toss on the track and you'll be golden.
