If you pay close attention to MNEK’s work and avidly follow any alterations and reworks that follow, it becomes quite obvious that nearly all the remixes stay clear from doctoring the UK-based act’s soulful voice. When Abhi and Dijon decide to take on any track (consisting of vocals or not), however, they seem to have an eager apt to almost completely renovate the original. Of course, many would shudder at the sight of MNEK’s efforts being changed drastically, but in this case, the Maryland-based duo’s attempt at “Every Little Word” (like every other), works in a fashion that’s rather unexpected, but works exceptionally well. With a healthy dose of reverberated, delayed effects to supplement the wing’s vocal lead, this remix stirs up an exquisite R&B flavour while still keeping a shade of MNEK’s original inscription.
