New Zealand-based duo Mimi & Licks made their shining debut with "Someone Else" a while back, and, today, with their second track, "Maize out", they're diffusing similar, engaging synth-heavy pop. The pair work superbly in tandem here, again pushing forth a blend of upbeat, funk-led production and dreamy, satin-like vocal tones. The piece evolves immensely, and, from the sonic progression that takes place, another swaying, absorbing listen rises as a result. As the duo has now hit on their first two tracks, we're extremely eager to see where they go from here, and we can't wait to see them blossom in popularity as a result of the awesome sounds they've already put forth.
