Fresh off the release of her long-anticipated album, ANTI, and while in the throes of her worldwide tour, one wouldn't expect to hear new music from Rihanna so quickly. Luckily for fans, she has returned as a featured artist on a track with legendary hip-hop producer Mike WiLL Made-It on "Nothing Is Promised". The collaboration, which was teased back on Mike's Instagram back in 2015, is a prime example of his innovative production prowess. Skittering production and wind chime-like instrumentation bubble under Rihanna's bars, and the singer, too, finds new life on the track, as she tries her hand at rapping as opposed to her normal singing ways. "Nothing Is Promised" shows the versatility of both Mike and Rihanna as well as their undeniable relevancy in the world of hip-hop, and it'd be cool to hear more collaborations like this from them come out. "Nothing Is Promised" is the first single off Mike WiLL Made-It's upcoming album, Ransom 2.
