When fans of our work send us work that we end up loving, there's really no better feeling out there that we can ever hope to have. Midoca (Chaz Treharne), a new Los Angeles electronic producer, has helped us into the positive state of mind with one of his two just-released works, "Gotta Go", and because we're taking so well to it, we thought it was necessary to pass it on to all of you. The particular sound on the track Midoca refers to as "MoodWave", and though that's destined to get mocked in some circles, it's actually pretty accurate given its attitudinal elicitation. The strikingly strange synths he uses throughout pierce the listening experience, and his samples add a smooth and soulful touch to counterbalance the uniqueness. More washed-out segments also enter into the mix periodically, and they provide nice breaks for all the aforementioned material. Here's hoping Chaz has more futuristic-sounding work to share in the future.
