Mick Jenkins' month-old piece, "Spread Love", was the first taste we got from his debut album, The Healing Component, that released a couple days ago, and now (last weekend, actually), the body of work is out and ready to be fully enjoyed. The 15-track affair features some well-known names like BADBADNOTGOOD, Noname, Xavier Omär, and a few others, and they work quite brilliantly beside Mick's low-pitched, pacy flows. The Nomane-accompanied "Angeles" and "Communicate", in particular, boast the rapper's style, and with groove-infused, hard-hitting beats beside him, there's much to dive into elsewhere as well.
