It's been a while since we last heard from Garden City Movement, the Tel Aviv-based trio that's blessed us with several outstanding original works in the past. Perhaps they've been busy with new material or promoting old, but, either way, we're happy to see them back here offering an incredible remix of a track we're equally passionate about. The track in question, up-and-coming artist Michl's "Kill Our Way To Heaven", is one laden with impressive phrases and poignant thoughts, and, though arguably a masterpiece on its own accord (it's accrued over a million plays on SoundCloud alone), it's somewhat sparse instrumentation lends itself nicely to being remixed. Nebbra, a producer we've covered before on the site, already took a turn offering his spin, and now with Garden City's, we're perhaps given its best reworking yet. The three inject the piece with an incredibly eerie, downtempo feel, and it really plays on the dark message of the song nice. There are, of course, attractive nuances thrown in throughout, and those, too, make the refashioned piece a masterclass of its kind. While we wait for Michl's newest single to come out (we hear it's coming soon), Los Angeles residents are to be aware that he's a show tonight (Thursday, February 4) at the El Rey Theatre, and that tickets for that can be purchased HERE.
