If you were to judge the potential of Michl, a brand-new artist from California, based on his just-released, first-ever track, "Kill Our Way To Heaven", you would agree that he's one of those new artists that could be considered a surefire shot to succeed. His sound is reminiscent of those put forth by The Neighbourhood, Sir Sly, and Fyfe, but there's an intriguing dynamism here that belongs to Michl only. "Kill Our Way To Heaven", according to the newcomer, is a song reflecting on the self-sacrifices of what it takes to succeed, and he doesn't just let his words do the talking, either. There's an incredible, complex, electronic-backed foundation here that gives the track a slightly unfamiliar, highly involving feeling, and with it, he creates an allure that's going to have listeners instantly hooked. Let's all hope for more engaging works like this debut one from Michl in the future, but, until new material comes about, enjoy what terrifically different-sounding vibe he's here produced.
