Since covering Boston-based artist Michael Christmas a few of years ago on his groovy mixtape, Is This Art?, we haven't heard any material that fit our standards or blew us away, but that has all changed with standout track "Get Up" off his week-old EP, Baggy Eyes. Michael's flow here is incredibly powerful and cohesive, and it's complimented with similarly top-notch, hypnotic-as-hell production provided by fellow Bostonian producer Durkin, who has worked with noteworthy talents like Black EL in the past. With various thought-provoking verses and that great production in tow, the track delivers on all fronts to become the quality piece that it most definitely is.
