It's been well over a year since Mexico City Blondes—the Santa Barbara-based project of Allie Thompson and Greg Doscher—stunned the music world with their brilliant debut single, "Fade". The track ended up being one of our favorite debuts of 2014, and by following up with a few more excellent songs, the two proved that they have plenty more excellent efforts in store. Today, the pair's returned with their long-awaited, self-titled debut EP, and it certainly does not disappoint. The project—one filled with primarily acoustic instrumentation—contains six tracks in all, three of which are brand-new. Overall, it brilliantly showcases the highly versatile, yet always enjoyable sound that they have, and, already, we're already looking forward to their next big body of work.
