It's always a bold statement to come in and outdo an original with a remix. For the Danish producer, Galimatias, though, it seems this has been a regular occurrence, because as we hear on his remix of Meek DeMeo's "Paper Birds", the original has been trumped significantly. With the genre of the track constituting a mix of R&B and hip-hop, a flip like this one is much needed with Galimatias' new additions of downtempo synths and swirling pads. It gives the song a lot more depth, allowing the vocals to do their proper damage, and especially Kendrick Lamar's verse.
