Is Mazde an alter-ego for Flume? Probably not, but had we not clear evidence of the truth, that's a question we would seriously be entertaining. Mazde flatters the Australian by imitating his style a bit, but in a way that can only build on the originator's, rather than detract from it. "Our Chance" is a big tune as it is one of the first originals, alongside "I Need You", from the young up-and-comer. Where he has previously astonished us with mostly remixes (see his Milky Chance remix in particular), he now has brought in the help of Curt Jones for his excellent vocals, confirming that he does not need to prop himself up on already-excellent singles, and that he can do it all from scratch.
