With Murs and ¡MAYDAY! each seeing features on HD, our excitement has only soared to greater heights with their collaborative album, ¡MURSDAY!,right around the corner. To give us a quick whiff of what’s in store for this mammoth sixteen-piece project, the temporarily formed squad has just dropped a belter of a track that seems to focus on what they consider real life issues. The monstrous, Nas-influenced piece incorporates a bilingual approach, as Brenz (¡MAYDAY!) delivers a Spanish chorus that's accompanied by Wrezkonize and Murs who exchange hooks in a conversational manner. Spurting out rather touching words, Miller (Wrekonize) plays the role of the friend of an imprisoned Murs, and as the discussion unfolds, both share powerful notions while conveying a solemnly honest message that primarily revolves around true comradery. We already have a good sense of the instrumentalists behind the production, and the beat executed on this piece is nothing short of wondrous (especially because of the ethnic setting that's implemented, and the use of acoustic drums to give that unforgettable, ageless aura). The track does fall below the three-minute mark, unfortunately, but it overflows with quotable phrases and gives us a lot to savor over the next couple weeks.
