Max Taylor already has two songs to his name, but neither have really gotten the attention they deserve yet, so this may be a new name for you. However, if there was ever a time where one should just let the music speak for itself, then this is that time. "The Optimist", his new track, is the quintessential "less-is-more" approach to indie-pop, and if you're in the mood for something that sounds like it should be on a James Bond soundtrack, then this is most definitely for you. It's got a quiet air to it that doesn't scream for attention, but its underlying current is brazenly ominous sounding, and Max Taylor succeeds in creating a track that will move you—if even just at a leisurely pace. We're looking forward to seeing what this British artist is going to do next, but without a ton of information on the name, we really don't have a ton to go off of right now. Perhaps that's fitting, though, because "The Optimist" is dripping with a dark and mysterious quality that makes it really stand out from the pack, and it'll have you asking around for more facts about the little-known artist.
