Most of the time with electro-pop, it's the repetitive kick drum pattern that immediately turns us off. With Max Elto's "Daniel", we expected that same kick drum to have us rolling our eyes right off the bat, but much to our chagrin, we were wrong. Although it slightly alludes to such fortunes as the first few bars roll out, things quickly change when those pulsating synths, vocals, and handclaps drop in. With them, "Daniel" takes a turn for the best and never looks back. Whether you agree with us or not is up to you, but we're definitely digging the direction of the sound. "Daniel" is lifted from Max Elto's newest EP, Taped Rai, that's available on iTunes now. Stream the EP via SoundCloud.
