From the perspective of someone who doesn't listen to this kind of music, at times, it all can sound kind of the same. A pitched-down vocal here and booming kick there, and yadda, yadda, yadda. The good thing here, though, is that if you're reading this, you know better. With one listen to Matthew Sailor's "When You Say", you will immediately realize that this is no song to simply brush off as another clone or copy. From the tepid & sweltering synths that mould the overall tone, to the clickity-clack of the spattering percussion and eviction notice-serving low-end, "When You Say" is way above the pay grade from a lot of its peers. It's a very impressive listen that will have you checking for his new material on the daily, since this will most likely serve as your first introduction to the Parisian beatmaker.
