Mattafix [Throwback Tuesday]

In light of the sad news of the UK duo Mattafix breaking up today and since we are in discussion of the throwback posts I have decided that you new readers NEED to know about Mattafix. They are Marlon (vocals) and Preteesh (beats) who make some incredible music. Marlon is the singer with the amazing vocal range that makes you wonder if it's actually a female singing sometimes (no diss). Don't get it twisted and think the lower toned Caribbean accented raps are Preteesh. Nope its alllll Marlon. He gets this accent from growing up in the multi island nation of St. Vincent & The Grenadines. Mattafix on the musical end, musically, is untouchable. Preteesh carves out his own sound in ways that people dream about. Take Angel for example, that beat has so much feeling in it that it literally cuts your chest open. Anyone who has a love for music will get into Mattafix, GUARANTEED. I have never seen so many people from all walks of genres have a soft side for Mattafix. Shake Your Limbs, Angel & Things Have Changed are all from their 2007 release Rhythm and Hymns which you can get from iTunes HERE.
