If I was going to make a top 20 albums list of my entire lifetime, there is no doubt that Rhythm & Hymns would be on that list. One of biggest tragedies of the last decade was the break-up of Marlon (vocals) and Preteesh (production) who used to be known as Mattafix. Their second album, Rhythm & Hymns was the last album that they would record together — it was released in 2007. Marlon is still making music , but he now releases music under his full name (Marlon Roudette) and uses outside production. Marlon has found recent success in Germany with his debut, Matter Fixed. The other former half of Mattafix, Preteesh, has not released anything commercially since. It's a cot damn tragedy because if you hear his work over this album, it's a simple fact that the world is dearly missing his music. So Preteesh if you're reading this, PLEASE, release new music! Mattafix's debut album Sign's Of A Struggle is also a must hear with classic's like "Big City Life". While it is well known that many bands and groups breakup over time, this breakup is one of the more disappointing ones to ever happen.
