Matt Woods played his cards right with his debut release, and while we’re quite positive the best is yet to come from this UK artist, the striking sounds from his "In The Dark" blew us away and got us hooked. Now, we’re being treated to a second course of sonic deliciousness from him, and that comes in the form of his second single, “Impression”. Instantly on the track, you’re reminded of some of the best soul and pop singers that the industry has to offer right now, but there’s also a timeless quality to Matt's voice that will work wonders when it comes time for him to really separate himself from the masses. “Impression” is yet another strong offering to keep the momentum high for him, and while it’s his pipes that grab all the attention here, they wouldn’t be half as impressive if they weren’t backed by shrewd production selections and near-flawless execution. To be fair, "Impression" isn’t the most uptempo song out there right now, but there’s energy to spare, and we’d be very surprised if you could find another up-and-coming artist with music that has this kind of staying power.
