Matlock is an relatively unknown Chicago emcee who dropped his debut, Moonshine back in 2007 that featured “Don’t Sleep“. It was a decent album from what I remember but never really wedged itself into my memory. Fast forward to now with his new album and after one listen I am left with one track to pass on to you guys. Days I Remember is worth a few spins due to its upbeat appeal from the childhood reminiscing lyrics, sparse piano keys and layered guitars. The chorus is pretty catchy as well.
