We've been avid fans of the beautifully crafted electronic-pop of Californian trio mAsis ever since they released their debut Kennesaw EP back in 2015. The two singles they have released since have been too few and far between to satiate our constant hunger for their music, however, and that's why we're so glad today to have a brand-new single from them in “Covered” which might be their best to date. Of all the elements mAsis provides, the gorgeous vocal arrangements from them are the ones we've found most striking, and that sentiment gets enforced again by “Covered” here, as crystalline harmonies act as the perfect opener to the track. Possibly the best hand-clap percussion track since Phoria’s “Emanate” follow them, and, as the song's tempo slowly increases, so too does the complexity of the composition. As the track comes to a close, it becomes clear “Covered” is another incredible entry into the catalog mAsis has, and, if you haven't already, you should absolutely go and and check that out.
