While you've been out and about likely enjoying the summer months, "Scars on Scars", a tune by British singer-songwriter Martin Luke Brown, has quietly sat online and flown under the radar for the past two weeks. MLB (as we'll refer to him) as an artist, however, is gaining momentum elsewhere from outlets like BBC, and pop acts like Jess Glynne, who he supported on tour last Fall, and it's not terribly perplexing to see why. "Scars on Scars" is powerful and full of conviction, as demonstrated with MLB's piercing vocals that have just the right amount of grit and smooth soul to make a lasting impression on listeners. We're hedging our bets that the artist's name will only become more prevalent in the remainder of the year, and that should start with his underappreciated track here.
