Marian Hill should already be a go-to if you're in the mood for something that's both relaxing and crafted well. The duo, now with Republic Records, has been pumping out stylish, jazz-infused pop for almost two years now, but this latest single is part of their debut album, and it further distills their signature approach into a very focused and enjoyable song. At first pass, you'll notice (as in a lot of their other tracks) that they don't try to fill up every nook and cranny with sound. It's a risky move, but, midway through, you'll find yourself bobbing your head what's really just a bare beat with silky lyrics on top. With Marian Hill, quality actually benefits from a lack of quantity, and "I Want You" is yet another win to mark down for the Philadelphia-based pair.
