The guitar sounds like low-key Modest Mouse but the vocals... oh, the vocals. The only instruments featured in this song are the guitar and vocals but it's all that's necessary as Margaret Glaspy's voice is from out of this world. Her voice contorts and bends in a number of ways. And the funny thing is it feels like she's trying to keep the vocal gymnastics to a minimum due to the reserved nature of the song. I'm excited to hear what she can do with that shapeshifting voice of hers if she decides to fully unleash it in the future. Her EP 'If and When' will be available on the 18th.
