Mapei's "Don't Wait" dropped about two months ago, and its off-beat vocals and masterfully crafted composition took the music community both by surprise, and by storm. Coming from her background as a rapper, nobody was expecting her brand of indie pop to gather any traction, but it has since blown up in a very big way, and her star is definitely on the rise. Riding off that success, Mapei just released this acoustic version, and it does away with the awesome, almost android-esque, vocal filters that made the original so catchy. Surprisingly, what's left is a beautiful piece of music that's as good as the original, but definitely moving in ways the other was not.
