This is definitely not the first time we've covered Mansions On The Moon, and it's probably not going to be the last, either. The Los Angeles-based four-piece has been consistently pumping out quality music for a while now, and with each and every release, we've gotten to enjoy the type of synth-infused electronic-pop that will make even the most die-hard lo-fi fans rethink their allegiances. Ranging from stadium-filling dance anthems to laid-back pop, Mansions' back catalog should always be a go-to destination for music that will freshen up any playlist. Their newest single here, "Where You Are", is definitely on the slower side of their range of work, but it's the perfect counterbalance to their last release, "Somewhere Else Tonight", which was decidedly more upbeat—and it's just a fantastic, fairly nostalgic tune in its own right. To date, Mansions have been pretty good about sticking to their guns when it comes to their signature sound. Ted Wendler's vocals are always on point, and the band's very likable blend of modern electronic instrumentation and traditional song structure has hit home on pretty much every song. "Where You Are" continues this spotless streak of theirs, and it'll appeal especially to those looking for soaring melodies and uplifting electronic behind them.
