Adding to the never-ending list of talent from Australia is the very promising production duo, Mansionair, who are laying down a very big impression on everyone with their debut track, "Hold Me Down". Also getting some new shine here is the lead vocalist, Jack Frogatt, from the indie-rock newcomers, Revier, who does well to balance out the brilliance that is this song. From the second "Hold Me Down" starts, the immediate wave of amazement hits you. It's not too often we hear tracks like this, especially during such a slow time for new music, so kudos to Listen Before You Buy and Pigeons & Planes for unearthing this wonderful track. Like the explosion of your favorite food exciting your tastebuds, "Hold Me Down" galvanizes your attention, sending it deep into the indulgence that is found within this absolutely magnetizing track. If there ever was one song to end off 2013, this one is it.
