The trio, based out of Sydney, delve deeper into the synth-pop and alternative genres they created on works such as "Hold Me Down" and "Second Night" on new single "Speak Easy" here, and they continue to meld sounds from various genres as well. "Speak Easy" is a song of ebbs and flows; it swells with massive choruses dotted with guitar hooks and colossal drum rhythms, but then recedes into subdued verses, assisted by electronic influences while still maintaining a rock vibe. It's a song that feels simply effortless, and it pairs perfectly with a nighttime drive or a song as a backing track to a sunrise.
