We've followed the works of Grant Eadie (Manatee Commune) for over two years now, and it's safe to say he's nearing the very apex of his musical career, with latest piece "The Garden Song" providing ample evidence to the claim. Working alongside cleverly named, Portland-based singer Moorea Masa, Grant takes a more organic route here, weaving in sparkling sounds and delectable, piano-led hooks. Moorea's folk-leaning, warmly toned voice, too, is flawless beside the backdrop, and the combination, we think, will have listeners absorbed from the very first note. "The Garden Song" will feature on Manatee's debut album that's set to drop on September 16 (you can pre-order it HERE). New York-based label Bastard Jazz will have it out.
