When Mallrat first surfaced with Tigerilla-featuring track "Suicide Blonde", it was apparent her twist on pop would raise the eyes of several of the genre's fans. Her work since has certainly generated some attention, but we feel it hasn't as much as it deserves. Today with "Tokyo Drift", however, we're believing she'll finally get what traction is due her way. The beat on "Tokyo Drift" is a leisurely paced and uplifting one, and Mallrat glides through on it with her signature flow and singable lines. The piece marks another hit in her arsenal of works to date (Rey Reel can't be forgotten on the production end of things), and it looks like the 17-year old won't be slacking off with memorable works anytime soon.
