Four months ago, a very fun, quirky rap-pop gem called "Suicide Blonde" came out by cryptic, fun-sounding young artist Mallrat from Brisbane. It received some blog love from a couple high-profile sites, and, in addition to that being because of its exciting sound, it was because of the way that she, herself, had described it and herself as the artist behind it. Proclaiming herself the "Hannah Montana of the rap game", it's easy to see why ears would perk up and eyes would turn, but all of that was very genuine indeed. Here with "Sunglasses" now, we that it is even more so. Though "Sunglasses" does not retain the same rap elements that the earlier, debut track had, it still has a heavy dose of pop and high spirits that made her first piece as enjoyable as it was. Produced by Tigerilla again (these two are becoming quite a duo to watch, no?), "Sunglasses" takes on a lazy, slightly hazy, and entirely social appeal that'll work well in playlists for lazy days, evening, and get-togethers alike. Mallrat has done well with this one, for sure.
