Major Lazer is a fictional musical character from the minds of DJ/Producer(s) Diplo and Switch who are known best with their work with M.I.A. Diplo was responsible for producing M.I.A's smash hit Paper Planes. The fusion of electronic and reggae works very well on this track especially with that synth (the one playing the melody) draped in reverb to give this production style a change up from the norm.
