When Mai Kino released her debut song, "Burn", three months ago, we called her a pop superstar in the making. Now, over 100,000 SoundCloud plays later, the Portuguese artist has returned with her follow-up track, "June", and it excellently reveals another beautiful layer of her sound. Within the new track, Mai's angelic vocals coast atop an airy and atmospheric collection of synths, occasional strings, and electric guitar plucks—all provided by Luke Smith once again. The lack of percussion not only places emphasis on Mai's vocal ability, but it also creates a very distinct mood that really separates her from the mass of electro-pop artists out. As of now, we don't know if Mai plans to combine her works into an EP or not, but, regardless, make sure you take a good listen to her latest track below.
