Made In Heights

Pop It In 2

Music is saturated with mediocrity beyond the point of return, and originality is as hard to come across as its ever been. As our technology-driven and attention-lacking culture pushes ahead, these issues are proliferating, and though we're a ways away, collectively, from filtering the trash from the treasures, there are many musical acts that give us confidence that the future of music has at least a flicker of brightness still attached to it. One of those acts is Made In Heights. Sabzi and Kelsey Bulkin, the brains behind the project they've sculpted for years, have epitomized and perfected the producer-vocalist duo, and though they've been releasing music together since 2010, it's quite apparent that their new work, Without My Enemy What Would I Do, is their most substantial yet. They've released seven outstanding singles from the album over the past year and a half already, each of which has presented a brilliant new layer to their sound, and now, at last, their full-length LP is being released in all its genre-smashing glory. From beginning to end, the irresistibly engaging, heavily emotive project is a marvel of production, songwriting, and vocal talent, and their untouchable style remains consistent through upbeat offerings like "Pop It In 2", slower songs like "Lunette", and inimitable tracks like "Murakami". Made In Heights are able to repeatedly provide unbelievably creative and equally enjoyable music, and, as a result, they've secured themselves as one of our current favorites acts in music. It goes without saying that their work is among the year's very best. Without My Enemy What Would I Do is now available for purchase on iTunes.
