Made In Heights

Ghosts

Out of the innumerable duos that we saw pop up to prominence last year, Made In Heights, was certainly one of the most intriguing and promising. The Los Angeles-based act quickly established a very strong presence on SoundCloud, chalking up nearly a million plays on their breakthrough track, "Murakami", but now it's been some time since their most recent release. Although they've been working hard on tour, we've definitely been ready to hear some new music from them, and luckily, our desire for new material is finally being fulfilled, because today, Heights has released their new single, "Ghosts", and it's giving us a wonderful new angle on the duo's unpredictable and utterly fascinating sound. We immediately noticed that the new song is embracing a rapid tempo—one overflowing with percussion and drenched in heavy synths—and each of these aspects is executed in Made In Heights' distinct style that we adore. Kelsey Bulkin shines per usual with her infectiously ethereal vocals, and Sabzi chops her voice masterfully to generate a fantastic hook. Subtle melodies arise here and there, slight nuances constantly entertain, and the song's overall sound is fresh, unique, and captivating to the point that we can't stop replaying the track. This has certainly become the norm for us regarding their songs, and we implore you to join in on the trend by taking advantage of the incredible new offering.
