If you were disappointed with Macklemore's last album (technically, it was a joint project with Ryan Lewis), you'll be happy to know that GEMINI, his first solo album since 2005's hidden gem, The Language Of My World (yes, he's been here that long), won't disappoint. Known for his uplifting and polarizing songs that teeter on the edge of cheesiness, Macklemore will forever be hated and loved. As fans of his for many years, we've always detected great songs, and, on this new project, Mack has dipped his toes in the new wave of rap. This album is going to appeal to a lot more people than just the fans who know him from all his pop hits, and that's refreshing, indeed. Songs like Offset-featuring "Willy Wonka", the Cousin Stizz-meets-Travis Scott "Ten Million", and the Chance The Rapper-inspired "Corner Store" are all fantastic, and they will appeal to those who don't always want to hear a "Same Love"-type track.
